A network architecture in which each computer or process on the network is either a Client or a Server. Servers are powerful computers or processes dedicated to managing disk drives (file servers), printers (print servers), or network traffic (network servers ). Clients are PCs or workstations on which users run applications. Clients rely on servers for resources, such as files, devices, and even processing power.
Another type of network architecture is known as a peer-to-peer architecture because each node has equivalent responsibilities. Both client/server and peer-to-peer architectures are widely used, and each has unique advantages and disadvantages.

Appointments Book® Standard
There are a several ways to network the Appointments Book® program in a Client / Server type of Network Environment. You can choose to either Map a Network Drive or Share the Appointments Book® folder. Mapping a Network Drive will require only one install of Appointments Book® where as Sharing the Appointments Book® folder requires you to install a copy of the Appointments program on each PC that will require access to the program. The Appointments Book® licensing model is Per PC that requires access to the program not per install so whether you Map a Network Drive or Share the Appointments Book® folder it will not make a difference in price only in the performance of the program across your Network.
